All the Science that’s Unfit for Print

Whoa, you say.  Must be pretty upset with some manuscript you saw, eh?

Actually not.  That is now GG’s motto for real electronic publication–publication using all the tools available on a computer that you cannot reproduce on a piece of paper. While putting electronic copies of dead tree articles out there is a step forward, it is more like electronic archiving than electronic publication.

Think of the stuff you can’t show in a paper–does that convey the gist of your science better?  If so, perhaps your science is unfit for print.

Maybe we should make a label for web-based journals… “this journal is unfit for print.”
